Default Sopapilla's Low Carb

OK I don't know if anyone has tried these or not but I wanted to post them.

Sopapilla's

1 Low Carb soft Tortilla/fajaita shell
Skillet with 1 inch of hot oil
1 tablespoon butter
cinnamon and splenda to taste

Place the tortilla in the oil for a moment and when it bubbles up turn and cook for another moment on other side. One done...drain oil and place on plate...Put tbsp of butter on top...move it around so that it melts all over the top...Then sprinkle the cinnamon/splenda mixture on top.

I used a good bit of cinnamon so that I wouldn't have the after taste of the splenda. These were so great...I can't wait to have more tomorrow. I used the low carb shells from wal-mart (Name-Mama Lupe's, cost 2.24/pk).

I named these Sopapilla's because thats what my friend said they taste like and I have never tried them. To me they tasted like a really good piece of cinnamon toast but better.

Try these and let me know what you think.

I use the low carb shells...I think they are wheat...Not real sure..I am out and have to buy more tomorrow...Probably could use either...I used the wheat ones for mine and the high carb one for my roomate and she liked them so they worked out in both cases...And hers were flour tortillas...But I will get back to you on these...Cinnamon has carbs here is the info I found on it.

Per Tablespoon
Calories: 17
Fat: .217g
Carbs: 5.43
Fiber: 3.69
Net Carbs:1.74

14% iron
8% calcium

I got these #'s from fitday so its not my fault if they are wrong...LOL...One of my buddies on here tried it and he used the wheat shells and said they were really good and could be addictive...He said he was glad he had done put away everything before realizing that. They are very tasty...I cut mine the other day into 4 triangles before cooking so that it would be easier to eat and not so messy and it turned out great like that.

Have a great day.
