I know there is truth to what those doctors say and for many people eating that way does prevent and reverse heart disease, but I have another disease I need to prevent and that's the disease of obesity.
Have you read "Good Calories, Bad Calories"? I have nothing against veggies, but I have no reason to feel that rice and potatoes and fruit are healthy for me. Far from it! I don't feel there is much truth at all that eating those foods is the way to reverse heart disease. So why not just stick with LC which *is* good for all your heart markers!

I haven't read GCBC from cover to cover, just parts of it here and there. I watched Taubes lecture on youtube that was about an hour and a half long. Really interesting stuff. Its polar opposite to what the mainstream media doctors tell us to eat, but the vegan dogma seems to be weakening and things are finally starting to change for the better. There are too many of us who tried to follow the lowfat high carb advise and got worse instead of better.
